Natural play, chewing and enrichment in one interactive toy.
Product description
Natural play, chewing and enrichment in one interactive toy.
The Silvervine Rope Cat Toy is designed to keep cats entertained with a combination of textured rope, colourful tassels, natural silvervine pieces and a small bell. Its long, flexible design encourages your cat to grab, kick, chase, chew and paw, making it a fun addition to everyday playtime.
Natural silvervine adds an extra sensory element that many cats find highly appealing, while the different rope textures, knots and dangling strands provide plenty of opportunities for batting and chewing.
At approximately 50–55 cm long, the toy offers enough length for energetic interactive play while remaining easy to place in your cat's favourite play area.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is silvervine?
Silvervine (Actinidia polygama) is a climbing plant native to the mountainous regions of Asia. It contains compounds — including actinidine and dihydroactinidiolide — that can trigger a euphoric response in cats similar to the reaction some cats have to catnip. The effect is naturally occurring and the plant itself is considered safe for cats.
My cat doesn't respond to catnip — could silvervine work instead?
Quite possibly. Research suggests that a significant proportion of cats that are unresponsive to catnip do react to silvervine, because the two plants activate the response through slightly different compounds. That said, sensitivity to plant-based stimulants varies from cat to cat, and not every cat will respond to silvervine either. If your cat hasn't reacted to catnip, silvervine is worth trying — but we can't guarantee a reaction.
Why does the toy look or smell slightly different from what I expected?
Silvervine is an entirely natural material, so variations in colour, density and scent are normal and expected. The potency of the scent can differ between individual pieces depending on the harvest. This variation does not affect the quality or safety of the toy.
Should I supervise my cat while they play?
Yes. As with any toy containing small components — including the bell and textile tassels — we recommend supervising play sessions, particularly with kittens or cats that chew enthusiastically. Inspect the toy regularly and retire it if it shows significant wear, loose threads, or detached parts.
